A sculptural vase with a substantial organic form and a deep interior space. Rich blue glass flows along the irregular rim like a trace of water left on a pale surface after the sea has receded.
The object is handcrafted from chamotte clay using the coiling technique. During firing, the blue glass melts, creating unpredictable transitions of color and a fluid, vibrant texture. The irregularities of the form and surface preserve traces of the making process, making the object unique.
The vase is conceived as a standalone interior object and is not intended for fresh flowers.
